About the Founder
Fortify is led by Nadia Mitchem, Founder and Principal Consultant. She brings 25 years of leadership experience across national nonprofits, public sector programs, and mission-driven teams.
Before launching Fortify, she held senior roles at iconic, multi-billion dollar organizations like the American Red Cross and ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital where she led operational, strategy and fundraising efforts. Her background spans enterprise systems, program design, volunteer leadership, and stakeholder engagement—across sectors including healthcare, humanitarian aid, disaster response, conservation, politics, and higher education.
Nadia is known for helping teams cut through complexity, clarify what matters most, and move forward with practical momentum.
